At Way Treatment Center, we provide comprehensive neuropsychiatric medical care for older adults experiencing emotional, cognitive, and brain-based conditions that affect quality of life, independence, and overall well-being. Our approach recognizes that psychiatric symptoms in later life are often complex, multifactorial, and deeply connected to medical health, neurological function, and life experience. We partner closely with patients and families to improve brain health, preserve function, and enhance overall quality of life through thoughtful, individualized care.
Conditions We Commonly Treat: Our older adult neuropsychiatric services address a broad range of conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic stress-related conditions, sleep disorders, chronic pain syndromes, and mood changes associated with medical illness or aging. We also treat cognitive disorders ranging from mild memory concerns to more advanced neurocognitive conditions. Many older adults experience overlapping symptoms such as low energy, poor sleep, irritability, emotional withdrawal, cognitive slowing, or increased sensitivity to medications. Our evaluations aredesigned to identify contributing medical, neurological, emotional, and medication-related factors.
Our Clinical Approach: Care at Way Treatment Center begins with a comprehensive neuropsychiatric evaluation focused on understanding the whole person—not just isolated symptoms. We emphasize careful diagnosis, conservative and thoughtful medication use, and close follow-up to promote stability and long-term improvement. Our treatment philosophy prioritizes restorative sleep, emotional balance, cognitive clarity, and functional independence. When appropriate, care plans may include medication management, cognitive and emotional support, lifestyle guidance, and coordination with primary care providers and specialists.
Memory, Mood, and Brain Health: Memory concerns in older adults frequently coexist with mood disorders, anxiety, sleep disruption, and medical illness. Addressing these factors is often essential to preserving cognitive function and emotional well-being. Our center offers both routine neuropsychiatric care and specialized cognitive evaluations when deeper assessment is appropriate. Our goal is to help patients and families understand what is happening, what can be treated or improved, and how best to support brain health over time.
Services are provided for adults and older adults and are tailored to each individual’s medical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
